This environmental learning lab will serve as a research space for The Island Water Resilience, an institution that will dedicate itself to educating the youth in New York City. At The Island Water Resilience, younger generations will learn about the junction of the East River and Hudson River in the New York waterfront space and be able to do marine research in order to find solutions for any risks related to marine conservation. Each grade level from different schools will have the opportunity to experience a day at our facility on assigned dates. The lesson plans will be age appropriate and designed for each grade level, where students will be encouraged to discover what lies beneath the waters surrounding their city.

This grocery store is located in Clark Street Station and is situated right off the train for the convenience of shopping sustainably. This project is designed with low-waste materials that can be recycled.

We are designing for students on the autism spectrum who are living and studying at The New School. These students
are brought together by their shared interest in furthering their education in textiles. The commonality between
these students is their school, program, grade, and need for housing. The dorm would require
spaces for sleeping, studying, bathing, and eating, as well as common rooms for working and relaxing. The
bare essentials that our students require are beds, closets, restrooms, showers, desks, and studio spaces.
Proper lighting, various collaborative workspaces, and ample private rooms would be needed to enhance
the quality of the student’s life. Our mission is to create a relaxing, tranquil interior to contrast the fast-paced reality of
the city. These dorms are private with communal aspects, with shared single-person restrooms, eating areas,
and studio spaces. Each student receives an individual room.
